First World Hotel Review – Resort World Genting

When I decided to stay for a night in Genting Resorts, First world hotel was my choice. It’s the only budget-friendly hotel you can find in Genting Highlands.

First world hotel holds a Genius record as world’s Largest Hotel with 7200 rooms.
reached Genting resorts at 4 am after a 5-hour’ journey from Singapore. The bus drops directly at the First World hotel entrance.

A lush, tropical rainforest welcomes you at the main entrance. The reception area is tastefully designed giving a rich feeling to the reception, there is a minimum of 10 reception desks to help the guest for the quick check-in.

Don’t be surprised if you had to wait for a few hours to get a room. Even though it’s the largest hotel sometimes you may have to wait a few hours for your room to be allocated.

really liked the self-check-in Kiosks. The type of rooms assigned to you is automatically allocated by the system according to the room category booked. You just need to scan your passport and select the type of room you need. You can also check in from the front office by paying 15 RM extra.

For extra 5 RMyou can get a mountain view or a nonsmoker floor, or a room near to lift. You can also check-in early just by paying extra 5 RM.

The lifestyle mall and Sky Casino are interconnected to First World hotel. There is no room service and there is a café available within the hotel although you can find dinners at the interconnected SkyAvenue mall.

My room with Twin bed

By the time I check-in there was only twin beds left so I had to choose the same. The rooms were clean but not very spacious, the bed was comfy. The bathroom was quite small but was clean. There is a safety locker to store all your valuables. The TV had only three channels and only one was English among them.

Since the check-in and Checkout process is automated you don’t get to interact with the staff much. There is also a help desk for any queries regarding your stay or resort. You have to pay extra for wifi. There is a locker facility available where you can deposit your bags if your check-in is delayed or if you like to go around after check out.

Overall, the stay was good and comfy. The check-in and check-out process were easy. If you are looking for a budget stay in Getting, this is a good option to consider.
